9HP READING PRACTICE ANSWERS

Reading Practice #2: Pip remembers the day he visited Miss Havisham for the first time as a life changing day for it set in motion a long string of events that would forever change his life and his personality. He noticed this alteration immediately when he came to see how common Joe and Mrs. Joe and by extension his life with them was as if he had been gone from his life for a long time.

Reading Practice #4: Pip describes how he put out Miss Havisham's fire by throwing two coats over her and struggling with her as if in a wrestling match. The image that stays with him is the lighted tenders of her wedding dress raining down on the two of them.
