Homework: Write the rough draft of your the body paragraphs of the persuasive speech. Each paragraph should begin with the topic sentence that states your reason. Then you should mention/describe/cite your evidence. Finally, you should explain how the evidence supports your reason. (This is the bulk of your paragraph.) You can choose how to deal with the counterarguments. You may address them as you go in the paragraphs that develop your reasons, or you may address them in one paragraph at the end (or beginning) of the speech. The bottom line: you decide what works best for your speech.
