WELCOME TO SAMOHI, FRESHMEN!
I love the first week of school when every student beams excitement from their bright, shiny faces. I really like the vibe in my freshman classes - so polite, so energetic. I know we are going to have a good year. I am really impressed by how dedicated to excellent the students seem. I hope that this enthusiasm will continue!
A note about the summer reading: I had hoped that all of the students had read at least three books this summer. I was saddened to find that some students only read one. This trend should not continue. In 9HP, we read every night. Reading should be second nature to you after this class.
Have a fun-filled weekend. Don't forget to find your independent reading book!
