Homework: Read and annotate "A Quilt of a Country" by Anna Quindlen pp.13-16 in the textbook.
When you annotate, mark the following:
1. New information or ideas you learned about what it means to be an American.
2. Vocabulary and key passages you may want to revisit.
3. Ideas within the selection that connect to each other or ideas that connect to your own experiences, other readings, etc.
When you have finished reading, check your comprehension by using the "Comprehension Check" questions on p. 17.
At the end of the selection, write the article's main idea in one sentence.
