WHAT WE DID IN CLASS TODAY:
While students discussed "Kaleidoscope," I met with individuals about their analytical paragraphs. This was the class assignment:
1. Record the sequence of events and the mixture of emotions each character listed below experiences once he is thrown out into space.

2. Discuss the nature of Hollis and Applegate's "deathbed conversation." What is the tone? What does it teach us about living our own lives? Describe a person you know who lives the lessons Hollis and Applegate learn and teach.
HOMEWORK:
1. Read "The Exiles" and "The City"
2. Revise your analytical paragraph if I met with you today. I will meet with others tomorrow.
3. The rough draft of your essay is due Friday.
